Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection – Update 1 is Available Now on Consoles
Apr-03-2024
Aspyr has officially released the initial update for the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection on platforms including Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch, after initially launching the patch on PC. This update addresses several issues, including fixing a problem where the game would crash during split-screen play in Battlefront 1. It also adjusts the abilities of Asajj Ventress for better game balance, alongside making necessary improvements to Kit Fisto and other elements of the game.
The development team has made considerable adjustments to the game's dedicated servers for multiplayer, promising a significantly enhanced gaming experience on all console versions. Aspyr is also in the midst of preparing Update 2, promising to share more details as soon as they're ready.
The Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection brings together the first two entries in Pandemic Studios’ Star Wars: Battlefront series, enriching them with additional content and the capability for online multiplayer. However, the collection faced some backlash upon release due to malfunctioning online components, including the lack of aim assist in multiplayer, and substantial lag issues, among others. Aspyr acknowledged these issues were due to “critical errors” in its network infrastructure and has been working towards resolving them.
